My journey
For as long as I can remember, food was something special in my family, but it wasn’t until I had a health scare in my 20’s that I really began to understand how critical food is to our health and wellbeing.
After a short career in politics, my passion for cooking and nourishing my family through food led me to change careers and go back to school. Over the next several years, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam to become a Registered Dietitian.
Since then I have worked with a wide array of people to help improve their health with an emphasis on preventative approaches. My career includes nutrition education and community program development, adjunct faculty at several collegiate institutions, and clinical nutrition.
After having two babies, I shifted my professional focus to my new passion…maternal nutrition. I also became a Certified Lactation Counselor.
I am dedicated to helping mothers like you so that you and your baby have the most nourishing pregnancy and transition to motherhood as possible. I can’t wait to work with you.
